High Protein FAST FOOD options! food🥙

Heyy yall here are some of my favorite high protein ‘fast food’ options!

When trying to eat healthy, it can be difficult to find something convenient on busier days that also meet your health goals that actually taste good!

Although salads aren’t usually what people think of when you say “fast food,” the food is still made ‘fast’ and is known for convenience with time and price.

These are some of my favorite options and places to choose from on days where I have a limited amount of time to eat but still want to make sure I stay on track with my nutritional goals! Give these a try and let me know what yall think 💞

P.S another way to incorporate more protein is to DOUBLE the protein when ordering, and look to add higher volume veggies.

To make it less fattening and less calories, ask for NO cheese and dressings on the SIDE to avoid excessive amounts of dressing. Also opt for a non cream dressing as those tend to be more calorie dense. These are all optional of course!

... Read moreHey everyone! We all know the struggle: you're slammed with work or errands, your stomach is rumbling, and the easiest option seems to be whatever fast food is closest. But what if I told you that 'fast food' doesn't have to derail your nutrition goals? I've been on a journey to discover delicious, high-protein fast food meals and options that genuinely taste good and keep me feeling full and energized. It’s all about making smart choices and knowing what to look for! For me, the key is focusing on protein-packed options, especially when I'm out and about. When I'm craving a satisfying meal, I often turn to places that offer customizable bowls or hearty salads. Think about it: a well-built grilled chicken salad fast food bowl can be incredibly filling and nutritious. I usually look for one with plenty of greens, grilled chicken, and a variety of colorful veggies. Sometimes I even go for a grilled chicken avocado salad bowl high protein style, adding extra avocado for healthy fats and a creamy texture. One of my go-to strategies is to build my own protein bowl at a fast casual restaurant. Places like Sweetgreen (the sweetgreen high protein bowl is a personal favorite!) or other build-your-own concepts are fantastic. I've found that focusing on a solid protein base, like grilled chicken or even plant-based options, and then loading up on non-starchy vegetables makes all the difference. For example, I might aim for something similar to that "make your own bowl" concept I've seen, combining crisp lettuce, cucumber, bell peppers, and then adding in a protein like grilled chicken or chickpeas. If I'm lucky, I might even spot a place offering something like an "Ahh Greek out bowl" or a "Buffalo Chicken Bowl" with a good protein count – those are always a win! When ordering, I always ask for extra protein. Seriously, don't be shy! Doubling up on protein ensures I stay satiated longer and helps me hit my daily intake goals. Another big hack is to get dressings on the side. This allows me to control the amount and choose lighter, non-creamy options to avoid excess calories. Plus, loading up on high-volume veggies helps fill me up without adding a ton of extra calories. I also try to skip the cheese if I'm watching my fat intake, but that's totally optional depending on your personal goals. It’s amazing how many high protein fast food options are out there once you start looking. From a simple fast food chicken salad bowl to more elaborate fast food protein bowl creations, there are plenty of food that contains protein that can fit into a healthy lifestyle. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different places and customize your orders. It’s all about finding what works for you and keeps you fueled for your busy day without compromising your health! Give these tips a try, and let me know your favorite high-protein fast-food finds!
