Cookies & Cream Cinnamon Rolls
I added Oreos to cinnamon rolls and I genuinely cannot go back 🍪💙
Soft, pillowy dough swirled with brown sugar, cinnamon, and crushed Oreos, finished with cream cheese icing while they are still warm. Cookies and cream in cinnamon roll form is not something I knew I needed but here we are.
The blue swirl dough makes these look almost too pretty to eat…almost.
THE ROLLS
• 1 batch cinnamon roll dough (homemade or store bought)
• 4 tbsp butter, softened
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 tbsp cinnamon
• 10 to 12 Oreos, crushed
CREAM CHEESE ICING
• 4 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 to 2 tbsp milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
HOW TO MAKE THEM
1. Roll out your dough and spread butter all the way to the edges
2. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly
3. Crush Oreos and layer across the entire surface
4. Roll tightly, slice, and place into your pan
5. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes until just golden
6. Mix icing and pour over while the rolls are still warm
7. Finish with a generous handful of Oreo crumble on top
A FEW THINGS I LEARNED
✨ Do not overbake. Soft and gooey is the goal
✨ Warm rolls with icing lets it melt into every layer
✨ More Oreos on top is not optional
