The spirit loves to work with children.
Working with children has always been a deeply rewarding experience, especially when guided by the Spirit’s influence. From my personal journey in teaching and mentoring youth, I have witnessed how the Spirit’s presence can illuminate the hearts of even the youngest learners, making biblical lessons come alive in ways that inspire a lasting spiritual connection. One of the most profound insights I gained is the importance of humility and childlike faith — concepts emphasized in Matthew 18:2-4, where Jesus highlights that no one can enter the kingdom of heaven unless they become like little children. This passage reminds us that the qualities of innocence, trust, and openness are essential, not just for children but for adults seeking spiritual growth. In practical terms, this means creating an environment where children feel valued and safe to explore their faith. The Spirit brings a fresh and radiant light to Scripture, transforming it from a distant or daunting text into a living source of mercy, love, and guidance. When children engage with the Bible through this lens, they discover its beauty and relevance, which cultivates a genuine hunger for God’s teachings. I found that using stories, music, and interactive discussions allows the Spirit’s message to resonate more clearly, helping children perceive heavenly peace and inspiration more deeply. This approach not only enriches their understanding but also equips them with spiritual strength to face life’s challenges. Moreover, the Spirit’s role as a mighty river of influence is evident when children grow in fruitfulness and become living testimonies of God’s love. This familiarity with divine truth acts as a protective barrier against temptations and hardships, fostering resilience and spiritual maturity from an early age. Ultimately, embracing the Spirit’s guidance in working with children is an ongoing blessing. It reveals the transformative power of faith in nurturing the next generation and continuing the legacy of God’s kingdom here on earth.
