Why my truth can feel confronting (and why I donāt
take it personally anymore....
When I share what Iāve learned on my healing path, it sometimes creates friction.
Not because Iām attacking anyoneābut because truth has a way of touching survival wounds.
As children, many of us learned to survive by saying āthis isnāt fairāāand honestly?
Some of what we lived through was deeply unfair.
We were misunderstood, dismissed, gaslit, or ignored by the very people meant to protect us.
So the nervous system adapted.
When someone feels like theyāre misunderstanding us now, the body remembers.
We reject. We shut down. We defend.
Old survival patterns rise upāoften wearing the mask of a victim mentality, even when no harm is intended.
What Iāve come to understand is this:
Not everyone is ready to hear certain truths.
And some may never beāand thatās okay.
Sometimes my role isnāt to be understood.
Itās to plant a seed. š±
And if our paths cross again later, maybe that seed has had time to grow.
Spirit has reminded me again and again not to take reactions personally.
Because what comes at me is rarely about meā
itās the wounded parts of others protecting the truths they had to adopt in order to survive their own experiences.
I honor that.
And Iāll continue speaking anywayāwith compassion, boundaries, and clarity.
If this resonates, youāre not alone.
And if it doesnātāthatās okay too.
Timing is everything.
