My husky saved my Labrador’s life last week and I still can’t believe it 🐾😭

My Lab got into the bin while I wasn’t looking and ate a whole box of grapes. Grapes are extremely toxic to dogs — they can cause sudden kidney failure. I had no idea he’d eaten them until my husky went absolutely wild. He started howling, pacing, and licking my Lab nonstop, like he was trying to tell me something was wrong.

That’s when I saw the empty grape box on the floor and my heart dropped. I immediately called poison control, and they asked if I had activated charcoal. By some miracle, I did. I’d seen a vet on TikTok talk about Pawmergency Activated Charcoal and ordered it on Amazon to keep in the fridge.

I quickly dispensed it, and the charcoal bound the toxins in my Lab’s stomach so they couldn’t spread through his body. Poison control told me to rush him to the vet, and the vet said the charcoal likely saved his life. They said they wished more dog parents kept it at home.
