Naomi Neo’s owned a Japanese restaurant?

Annyeong Zesties👋🏻

It’s been a while since I posted, so obviously had to make a comeback w/ something tasty🥢😋

This time I came to try Naomi Neo’s Japaneses res👀

Food review time📝

🍝 Truffle Pasta w/ Salmon – legit so creamy & comforting, def my top 1 picks here (MUST ORDER). They do have the Hotate version, but since I’m more of a salmon girl than scallop, I went with the salmon instead

🍮 Pitan Tofu – surprisingly yum

🌯 Soft Shell Crab Handroll – crunchy + fresh, no complaints

🍣 Shinrai Signature Maki – worth trying, house fave for a reason

🔥 Yaki Tori, Tsukune, Pork Jowl – the wokhey smell is there, I like Tsukune the most

🍚 Garlic Fried Rice – abit bland for me

🌶 Spicy Aburi Salmon – hmm not for me tbh…felt a lil off balance

➕ complimentary Yuzu & Matcha Ice Cream🍨 (if u do a google review for them🫢)

🍋Yuzu: so refreshing

🍵 Matcha: meh! it tasted super artificial

Ambiance check: cozy but ngl, can get noisy during peak hours

Overall: a solid spot if you’re down for Japanese comfort food w/ a modern twist!

For example, the Yaki Tori Tsukune skewers had a smoky wokhei aroma that added great depth, especially the tsukune portion which was my standout choice. If you visit during peak hours, be prepared for a lively atmosphere as it can get pretty noisy, but that lively vibe adds to the charm. For dessert lovers, don’t skip the complimentary Yuzu ice cream if you leave a Google review—it's refreshingly citrusy and a nice palate cleanser after a rich meal. Although the Matcha flavor was a bit artificial for my taste, the overall experience was satisfying. Also, garlic fried rice might be simpler than other dishes but pairs well as a neutral base for the stronger flavors on the menu. If you’re curious about Naomi Neo’s background or restaurant ownership, the buzz around this place is well justified by the quality and unique twist on Japanese comfort food. Whether you're a salmon enthusiast or just love creative dishes, this spot should be on your list the next time you're hunting for something new and tasty in the Japanese food scene.
