How I Keep My Hands Soft & Healthy ✨🌸

I always start with physical exfoliation in the shower (African net sponge), then use liquid exfoliants 2–3x a week.

On the days I don’t exfoliate, I apply retinol to help smooth texture and renew the skin.

Every night I finish with cuticle oil and seal everything in with African shea butter: my absolute essential.

And don’t forget SPF on your hands during the day, it’s just as important as your face.

Save this if you want prettier hands 🤍

Starting with the physical exfoliation step, I find that using an African net sponge in the shower not only removes dead skin but also stimulates circulation, which helps my hands look more vibrant. Complementing this, I regularly use liquid exfoliants like Paula's Choice 2% BHA that contain salicylic acid to deeply unclog pores and even out texture without over-drying my skin. On the days I skip exfoliation, applying a retinol serum has been a game changer. Retinol encourages skin cell turnover, resulting in smoother and more youthful-looking hands. I specifically rely on formulas with niacinamide (NIA114), which enhances skin tone and helps reduce signs of aging. A key part of my night routine is applying cuticle oil, which keeps my nail beds moisturized and prevents hangnails. But what makes the biggest difference is sealing everything in with African shea butter, my absolute essential. Shea butter's rich, nourishing properties protect my hands from dryness and environmental stress, leaving them incredibly soft by morning. Lastly, I've learned the importance of daily sun protection for hands. Like our face, hands are exposed to the sun's harmful rays, which can cause premature aging and dark spots. Applying SPF on your hands during the day is a simple but crucial habit to maintain healthy skin. Consistency is key, and over time these steps have maintained my hands’ softness and health. Whether you have dry, rough, or aging skin on your hands, integrating exfoliation, retinol, cuticle care, shea butter, and sunscreen can significantly improve skin texture and appearance. Give these tips a try and enjoy the confidence that comes with beautiful hands.

BHA toner is an oil soluble meant for oily skin. Unless you have heavy sebum or pimples and such on your hands….its not needed
