how to decompress after stressful periods

i’m in school and i get super stressed out when a lot of work piles up! to do lists get me through the stressful weeks but even after i feel like i need more to recover

how i recover:

~ get in touch with hobbies

*coloring, TV, dancing, socializing

~ cleaning

* things get cluttered so i clean for relief

~ talking out loud

* if you can go somewhere private

* it’s like a diary but with less effort bc u just yap!

when i do these things on the weekends it feels like such a reset!! i hold so many things in just to do well academically and stay on top of things because in a perfectionist but rest and recovery is so important!!

... Read moreAfter stressful periods, it’s crucial to implement effective strategies for both mental and physical well-being. Engaging in hobbies such as coloring or dancing stimulates creativity and provides an emotional outlet. Taking time to clean not only creates a calm environment but also brings a sense of control amidst chaos. Additionally, talking aloud—even if it feels awkward—acts as a powerful cognitive release, helping articulate feelings that can feel overwhelming when bottled up. In today’s high-pressure environments, whether it's academic or professional, prioritizing self-care and recovery methods is essential. Techniques like mindfulness, meditation, and regular breaks can also significantly enhance resilience against stress. By integrating these practices into your routine, you can effectively maintain a healthy balance in life, ensuring that stressors are managed well and do not lead to burnout.
