Do you like sweet treats?!
I’ve been working with a doctor to focus on my gut. It unfortunately requires a fairly restrictive diet, but the good news is that we will reintroduce everything one day!
Small steps to get start solving a gut problem are avoiding the processed and over processed junk foods, switching to organic as much as possible, and drinking enough water!
Using tests, we’ve determined which foods are irritating my gut the most. We’ve cut those foods out to allow time for healing. I’ll retest in a few months and then we can start adding things in again. As someone who has goals to get off meds for my autoimmune issues, fixing a root for the problem is an obvious choice. I can’t make any forward movement on my goals until I take care of this first!
The journey to better gut health requires dedication and knowledge. Many people overlook the impact of processed foods on their gut. Swapping these for organic choices is essential. Drinking enough water is also vital for gut health. To optimize healing, it's important to identify and eliminate specific food irritants that may exacerbate autoimmune issues. Online communities and medical professionals emphasize monitoring your body's response to different foods. Keeping a food journal can help track which items aggravate your gut. After an elimination period, gradual reintroduction of foods can allow you to determine your body's tolerance levels. Additionally, holistic approaches like incorporating probiotics, consuming plenty of fiber, and managing stress can further support gut health.
