Handmade Resin Pendant on a Wooden Base with Press
I wanted to try something new, so I decided to create a pendant on a wooden base this time. love the warm, natural look of wood, and I thought it would be the perfect frame for something delicate and colorful.
I chose a bright pink flower for a beautiful contrast - the vivid color really pops against the deep tones of the wood. After arranging the petals, I carefully sealed everything with UV resin to protect the flower and create a glossy, glass-like finish.
I'm really happy with how it turned out. The mix of natural wood, dried florals, and resin gives the pendant a unique, earthy charm.
Definitely planning to make more pieces in this style! #ResinJewelry #PressedFlowerArt #HandmadePendant #WoodAndResin
Working with resin and natural elements like wood and pressed flowers offers a unique crafting experience that blends creativity with nature. One of the best parts of making resin pendants on wooden bases is the tactile satisfaction of combining organic textures with the smooth, glass-like finish resin provides. When I first started experimenting with this style, I was surprised at how the resin not only preserves the delicate flowers but also enhances their colors, making them stand out beautifully against the wood's rich tones. In terms of technique, patience is key. After arranging the pressed flowers carefully on the wooden base, applying a thin layer of resin helps avoid bubbles and ensures that the petals stay in place. Using UV resin is especially convenient since it cures quickly under UV light, allowing you to build up layers if needed for depth or protection. I often choose bright, contrasting flowers like pinks or reds because they create an eye-catching focal point against the natural wood grain. Beyond aesthetics, wooden bases add durability and a warm, natural appeal that synthetic backings can’t match. It’s also fun to explore different wood types and finishes to see how they influence the pendant’s overall look. I’ve found that sealing the wood with a matte or satin finish before applying resin can affect the final sheen, giving you creative control over whether your piece looks glossy or more understated. For anyone new to resin jewelry making, starting with small pendants is a great way to develop skills without committing to large projects. Plus, these pendants make personalized gifts that combine artistry and nature. Personally, wearing a resin pendant containing pressed flowers reminds me of special moments with nature and inspires me to keep crafting more unique pieces that capture delicate beauty in every detail.

It's beautiful and a very creative idea. ✨
