Plus-size performers deserve just as much thought and creativity in costume changes as their thinner counterparts. Feeling defeated about this issue is a common sentiment among plus-size actors, but speaking up and sharing these experiences can help raise awareness. Therapy or talking with supportive peers can be helpful in managing the emotional impact this has, as feeling invalidated or overlooked touches on deeper issues of body image and self-worth.
