How I track weightlifting

This is how I keep it simple 🖤

A cheap notebook and some dumbbells are all you need!

Everything doesn’t have to be a fancy app or an expensive purchase ❌

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with those things, I just don’t think it’s NECESSARY to just get started 🙃

KISS - Keep it simple sis 🌼 you got this 🏃🏻‍♀️

... Read moreWhen it comes to tracking weightlifting progress, simplicity is often the key to consistency and success. I’ve found that using a basic notebook and a set of dumbbells allows me to stay organized without getting overwhelmed by technology or extra costs. This approach keeps my focus on the workouts and gradual improvement rather than on complicated tools. In my notebook, I write down each exercise, sets, reps, and the weight used — for example, calf raises, glute bridges, and dumbbell presses with specific repetitions. This manual logging helps me monitor when to increase or adjust weights based on my progress. Unlike digital apps, a physical notebook provides a tactile sense of accomplishment and less distraction. Moreover, tracking workouts this way encourages better workout planning and reflection. Each session’s notes serve as reminders of what worked well or what needs tuning. It's motivating to flip back and see the progress over weeks. I also like to note how long I rest between sets, which impacts the workout’s intensity and helps tailor recovery. Many people think starting weightlifting needs expensive equipment or apps, but starting simple means removing barriers. Even if you’re a beginner, all you really need is that notebook to build healthy habits and keep your routine consistent. Over time, this habit can evolve into more detailed tracking or incorporating technology, but starting with basics reduces pressure and helps build confidence. This method is perfect for anyone who wants to focus on the effectiveness of their workouts rather than the tools. Keeping it uncomplicated invites more enjoyment and sustainability in fitness journeys, making it easier to stick with weightlifting long term. Remember, consistency beats complexity when it comes to steady progress and health improvement.

Nope! Not even close. First off, having muscles doesn’t equate to looking like a man because not every man is muscular. Second, the average woman would be HARD PRESSED to look very muscular because of the little testosterone we have. Even if we exercise, eat healthy, and have an active life
