If you love the sugar cookie latte, then I think you’ll like this! It’s so delicious and not to mention it’s high in protein!
All you need is cold brew, vanilla protein, almond milk or milk of choice, almond butter, almond extract, butter extract, and ice. Just blend it all up and this will make the most delicious sugar cookie cold brew shake. Some optional adds could be 1/2 frozen banana to thicken the shake more like a smoothie texture and add extra natural sweetness. Instead you could also add a little maple or honey for that sweetness as well. I personally think it’s sweetened pretty well with just the protein powder but these are delicious additions! Also consider adding some chia seeds to add some extra fiber! Also not necessary but works well with this recipe!

... Read moreOkay, so I've been obsessed with this Sugar Cookie Cold Brew Protein Shake lately, and I wanted to share a few extra tips I've picked up to make it absolutely perfect every time! My biggest secret for that creamy, thick texture? Definitely a frozen banana. Even if you're not usually a banana-in-smoothie person, half a frozen one makes such a difference, transforming it into more of a dessert-like experience rather than just a drink. If you're really aiming for a thick shake, don't skimp on the ice either! Using a good quality high-speed blender also helps achieve that silky smooth consistency without any ice chunks. Trust me, it elevates the whole cold brew protein shake experience!
Presentation is everything, right? Especially when you're making something as delicious as this. I always grab my favorite clear glass to really show off the beautiful, creamy color of the shake. If you have any fun glasses, maybe even with some cute red hearts or other festive designs, they definitely make it feel more special. And for that extra touch, don't forget the optional holiday sprinkles! A little sprinkle of festive red and green holiday sprinkles on top completely transforms it, making it look like it came straight from a fancy coffee shop. It's such a simple step but makes it so much more fun to drink and, let's be real, super Instagrammable!
One of my favorite things about making homemade drinks is how easy it is to customize the flavors. While the combination of almond extract and butter extract truly gives it that signature 'sugar cookie' taste, you can totally play around with it! If you're a big fan of vanilla, consider using a vanilla bean paste instead of just regular vanilla protein powder for an even deeper, richer vanilla flavor. I've also experimented with a tiny pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg, especially around the holidays, to give it an extra cozy vibe. And don't forget the almond butter – using a high-quality, creamy almond butter makes a big difference in both texture and a subtle nutty flavor that complements the cookie notes perfectly.
Let's talk about the core ingredients that make this shake a powerhouse: the protein and the cold brew. When choosing your vanilla protein powder, think about your dietary needs. Whey protein is great for a quick hit, but there are fantastic plant-based options out there if you prefer. I've found that a good quality protein powder not only adds that essential nutritional boost but also contributes to the shake's overall creaminess and sweetness. For the cold brew, I usually go for a concentrate that I can dilute with water or almond milk to my preference. The type of cold brew really impacts the final taste, so pick one you genuinely enjoy. Some are naturally sweeter, and some have a bolder, darker roast profile – whatever your preference, it'll shine through!
Finally, a few practical tips for enjoying your sugar cookie cold brew protein shake. If you're always on the go like me, using a portable blender is a game-changer! You can literally blend all your ingredients anywhere, which means no excuses for skipping your delicious, high-protein treat. I love having this as a post-workout refuel, a quick breakfast when I'm short on time, or even as a satisfying afternoon pick-me-up. It's amazing how something so indulgent-tasting can also be so good for you. Don't be afraid to experiment with different sweeteners too; a little maple syrup or honey can add a lovely depth if you want it a bit sweeter than what the protein powder provides. Enjoy every sip!
Omg this sounds amazing!!! Will be trying
