1310 calories, 72g protein, 9g fiber

Traveling today, so I had Denny's for breakfast. Eating on the road is hard to get the daily dose of protein and fiber. I definitely didn't burn many calories today so decided to keep the calories low.

I’ve found that when dining out at places like Denny’s during a travel day, focusing on menu items rich in protein yet moderate in calories helps me stay on track. For example, opting for egg-based dishes or grilled protein options can provide a good protein boost without excessive calories. Additionally, incorporating fiber is important for digestion and satiety, so I try to include side options like fruit, oatmeal, or whole-grain toast whenever possible. Sharing meals, such as the shrimp burrito from Fat Bastard Burrito mentioned here, can be a good strategy to control portions while still enjoying flavorful options. Because physical activity usually decreases on travel days, lowering calorie intake slightly can help avoid unwanted weight gain. I monitor my intake to stay around 1300 calories while meeting my protein goal of 70+ grams and aiming for at least 9 grams of fiber, as shown in this daily intake. Ultimately, eating on the road requires planning and flexibility. Checking nutritional information in advance or asking restaurant staff about healthier preparations makes a big difference. Staying hydrated and choosing meals that balance macronutrients keeps energy stable and supports overall nutrition goals during travel.
