Working from home is a killer

Here’s why.

I’ve been wfh for 4 years now don’t get me wrong I love it I get to spend lots of time with my family while making money I basically roll out of my bed brush my teeth and ready to go. I’m not a people person so not having to interact with people is my favorite part of it. HOWEVER the comfort level I get from staying home is really killing my dreams and ambitions now I don’t want to do nothing that I can’t do from staying in ( I mean work wise ) I have things that I want to accomplish this year and I know that would require me to step out of my comfort zone 😫.

Who can relate?

... Read moreWorking from home (WFH) has become increasingly popular, but it isn't without its challenges. Many individuals find that the comfort of working from home can lead to a stagnation in personal and professional growth. While enjoying the flexibility and family time that WFH offers, it’s important to acknowledge that this lifestyle can dull ambitions and hinder productivity. The essence of personal growth often lies beyond our comfort zones. As individuals spend years in remote settings, they can become complacent and hesitant to pursue new opportunities, career advancements, or even social interactions that foster development. In many cases, being ensconced in a familiar environment can reduce motivation to seek out challenging experiences. To combat this issue, individuals can set specific goals that require them to step out of their routine. This could involve attending networking events, enrolling in online courses, or simply scheduling regular meet-ups to socialize beyond the confines of home. Joining online communities can also provide support and accountability as they navigate their work-from-home lifestyle while striving for personal advancement. Ultimately, a balanced approach prioritizing both comfort and ambition may lead to a more fulfilling and productive career while working from home.

Totally feel u on this. Maybe in the interim you could look for a hybrid role so it's easier to transition back into office work??
