Shrimp Boil
It's been a minute since I had a boil.
I will enjoy this in moderation though just because of the heavy butter. I had Cajun butter sauce.
This is not my recipe and I did not make it. I rate it a 8.5/10 and would definitely order it again. Next time
I will add crab! I usually do have crab.
Fun fact : I have a love and hate relationship with shrimp. One minute I'm craving and enjoying it then next minute I'm disgusted with it lol

From my own experience, a shrimp boil is one of those classic Southern dishes that really brings people together. The key to a great shrimp boil lies in the seasoning and sauce. Cajun butter sauce adds a spicy, buttery richness that's hard to beat, but it can be quite heavy, so moderation is wise. When I try shrimp boils, I love how the shrimp soak up the flavors of the sauce and spices. Adding crab makes it even better, offering a nice contrast with sweetness and texture. One thing I've noticed is the emotional roller coaster shrimp can create—sometimes I crave them intensely, and other times I avoid them altogether. This unpredictability might be due to texture or mood, but it makes eating shrimp an interesting experience. For those wanting to try their own boil at home, I'd recommend balancing the richness of butter with some fresh lemon or hot sauce to cut through the heaviness. Whether dining out or cooking at home, shrimp boils are great for sharing and can be adapted by adding other seafood like crab, crawfish, or sausage. Don't be afraid to experiment with different seasoning blends or dipping sauces to find your perfect combination. And remember, enjoying it slowly helps you appreciate the bold flavors without feeling overwhelmed by the butteriness.
