... Read moreVisiting Lisbon offers a captivating blend of past and present. When I traveled there, I found that wandering through the narrow alleys of Alfama at sunset truly felt like stepping back in time. The way the golden light reflects off the characteristic Portuguese tiles is unforgettable. Taking Tram 28 is more than just transportation; it’s a journey through the city’s hills, offering glimpses of daily Lisbon life from charming neighborhoods. One of my favorite experiences was catching a live fado performance in a small local venue. The music felt deeply emotional and connected me to Lisbon’s soul in a way museums could never do. Of course, no visit is complete without tasting the legendary pastéis de nata in the Belém district. These custard tarts, crispy on the outside and creamy inside, paired perfectly with a strong espresso. Additionally, the views from Miradouro da Senhora do Monte gave me a spectacular panorama of the city and the Tagus River. It’s a peaceful spot to watch the sunset and reflect on the vibrant culture that fills the streets below. Lisbon’s coastal breeze adds to the city’s relaxed atmosphere, making every walk feel refreshing. For travelers seeking a photo-worthy trip enriched with history, culture, and great food, Lisbon is an ideal destination. Its approachable charm and lively ambiance make it easy to feel at home whether you’re exploring iconic landmarks or hidden gems off the beaten path.
