Ingredients:

• 2 ¾ cups (330g) all-purpose flour

• 1 tsp baking soda

• ½ tsp baking powder

• ½ tsp salt

• 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened

• 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar

• 1 large egg

• 2 tsp vanilla extract

• ¼ cup (60ml) milk

• Optional: Extra sugar for rolling

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. Mix dry: Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

3. Cream butter & sugar: In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 mins).

4. Add egg & vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla until combined.

5. Add milk & dry: Mix in milk, then slowly add dry ingredients until just combined.

6. Shape: Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls. Roll in sugar if desired. Place 2 inches apart.

7. Bake: 8–10 minutes, just until edges are set but centers look slightly soft.
