Our birth story 💚 How GOD saved me!

Wesson creek was born 8/23/2021!

Happy fourth birthday my little man. You saved me!! Thankful to have been at the hospital and not at home when the following events occurred.

It was found during my pregnancy that he had fluid on his right kidney so I was induced at 39 weeks.

Labor was so easy!

We were loving our sweet boy and 24 hours later we were talking about getting to go home.

We couldn’t wait for him to meet his two sisters and brother.

I started with a pain in my right side while breastfeeding Wesson. I quickly gave Wessonto my husband Cody.

Cody went to talk to the nurses. In a matter of minutes things changed.

I remember a room full of doctors and nurses. My blood pressure dropping and my heart rate climbing.

I lost consciousness .

The next thing I remember is telling my husband to call our children and family. “Tell them I’m having complications “

I was rushed in for a CT Scan.

I was bleeding internally.

My artery supplying blood to my right ovary ruptured.

I kissed my husband goodbye not knowing if I was going to make it through this.

I was rushed into surgery. Many blood transfusions.

The angel that was my nurse. She held my hand as I told her “ I don’t want to die”. I couldn’t leave my children.

That was the last thing I remember. That and the bright lights of the operating room.

I woke up in ICU on oxygen, a tube down my nose, and a port in my neck for blood transfusions . And spent a total of two weeks in the hospital. My angel nurse came to check on me 🥹

Two days after surgery we found blood clots in my lungs and had another procedure.

Days later I formed an infection where my stomach was stapled shut from surgery.

I wore a wound vac until the hole in my stomach could close.

It was the most traumatic experience.

I was wheeled to my husband and my little boy maybe three times in that two weeks. I was weak but thankful to see them.

There other hero of this story is my husband that even after Wesson was discharged he did not leave the hospital and staff allowed him to stay in the maternity ward with Wesson until the day before I was released and made sure they had what they needed.

Birth trauma is real. 🥹💕

... Read moreBirth trauma can be an unexpectedly challenging experience for many mothers, often involving complications that extend beyond just delivery. In this story, the rupture of an artery supplying blood to the ovary caused internal bleeding and a critical condition that required immediate surgery and multiple blood transfusions. It's important for expecting mothers to recognize that even when pregnancies seem healthy, complications can occur suddenly and require urgent medical care. Fluid on a kidney during pregnancy, as seen here, is a condition that doctors closely monitor, often leading to induction at term to reduce risks. Having a strong support system during hospitalization makes a significant difference. The husband's dedication to staying by his wife’s side and caring for their newborn showed extraordinary commitment that helped both the mother and baby remain connected despite the hospital stay. Medical staff, including nurses described as 'angels,' often provide not only clinical care but emotional support, helping patients face their fears and feel less alone during critical health events. Mothers facing birth trauma may experience physical aftereffects such as infections, wounds requiring vacuum-assisted closure (wound vacs), or pulmonary complications like blood clots, underscoring the need for vigilant follow-up care. Sharing stories like these raises awareness about birth trauma, helping other families understand that they are not alone and encouraging early recognition and swift action can save lives. It also emphasizes the importance of appreciating every small moment of recovery and reunion with loved ones after a difficult childbirth journey. If you or someone you know is anticipating childbirth, consulting with healthcare providers about potential risks and ensuring a solid postpartum support network can make all the difference. Remember, birth trauma is real, but with medical advances and loving support, many mothers emerge stronger on the other side.

You cannot be saved and carnal at the same time!
Too many people have learned how to identify as Christian without living surrendered to Christ. This is not about perfection. This is about direction. A saved life is not sinless, but it is not shameless. Not flawless, but not comfortable in rebellion. Christianity is not a vibe. It is
