As a college student, I'm always looking for exciting and affordable ways to make the most of my weekends and breaks. Beyond specific city attractions like an Orioles game or a visit to the Walters Art Museum, there's a whole world of possibilities for fun activities right at your fingertips. From budget-friendly outings to creative pursuits, here are some ideas to spice up your college weekends and create lasting memories. Explore Your Campus & Local Area: Sometimes the best adventures are right outside your dorm! My friends and I love to take long walks around campus, discovering hidden spots, or checking out local parks. You could even play tourist in your own college town – visit historical sites, local markets, or unique shops. Many towns, much like exploring districts such as Mount Vernon, have free walking tours or community events that are perfect for a budget-friendly outing. Don't forget about local cafes or bookstores as cozy spots for an afternoon. Get Active & Outdoors: If you're like me and need a break from studying, getting active is a game-changer. Think about hiking nearby trails, having a picnic in a scenic spot (maybe even a hill with a great sunset view like Federal Hill!), or trying out a new sport with friends.
