still kicking butt and taking names
so many hardships ive lost count...teenage mom, finished college, marriage then divorced...then homelessness....and addiction my point is life is supposed to to teach you to fight to overcome and when your finally on the other side ur so much stronger more adaptable life would be boring if it wasn't for our struggles
be good to urself and kind to others the rest will fall into place
Reflecting on life’s toughest moments truly brought me to appreciate the strength gained from overcoming hardship. Like struggling through addiction, relationship changes, or even homelessness, every challenge is a tough lesson designed to sharpen our character. I’ve learned that pain is indeed temporary, as the image reminds us, and each struggle transforms into a breakthrough when we focus on growth instead of doubt. Another key insight is the importance of self-kindness. When you extend compassion to yourself during hard times, it becomes easier to be kind toward others. This ripple effect fosters a positive mental health mindset, supporting resilience through future challenges. The journey is rarely linear—there are setbacks and days when progress feels slow—but the breakthrough comes with persistence and patience. It helps me to pause and breathe during overwhelming moments, as the phrases “now breathe” and “process” suggest. Taking time to reflect on what you’ve been through reveals how far you’ve come. No matter how many setbacks or what life throws your way, still standing means you are stronger, more adaptable, and ready for whatever’s next. Life’s struggles indeed shape us; without them, life would be far less meaningful or rewarding. So, be good to yourself. Value your journey and the lessons that have emerged from pain and struggle. When you nurture this mindset, the rest—the stability, happiness, and peace—will gradually fall into place.
