Flambo used his board today to say “Upstairs. Cat” 🥹 And sure enough, that’s exactly where both of the cats were! The cats have their own room upstairs, a space that’s completely theirs. They can come and go as they please, but the dogs can’t get in.

It’s a bit heartbreaking, honestly for the boys. My dogs love cats and would do anything to be friends with them, but the cats just aren’t used to living with dogs yet. They’ve never shared a home with dogs before, and I don’t want to rush them. Giving them a safe, dog-free space where they can feel comfortable has made such a difference.

Slowly but surely, they’re getting used to it, Raja will walk past the dogs with no fear, watching the dogs from a distance, and allowing the dogs to sit near them sometimes. It’s been so sweet watching everyone learn how to live together and respect each other’s space. ❤️
