Timing has been key. Drinking caffeinated teas late in the day disrupted my sleep patterns until I adopted the habit of limiting caffeine intake to before mid-afternoon. This consistent timing supports circadian rhythms, which I find crucial for overall longevity. Temperature also matters as I experienced slight throat irritation when drinking very hot tea regularly. Now, I let my tea cool to warm or slightly hot before sipping slowly, making the ritual more soothing and enjoyable. I avoid adding sugar or artificial flavorings that can negate tea’s antioxidative benefits. Instead, I enhance flavor and health effects with fresh lemon, a pinch of cinnamon, or a slice of ginger. These additions provide extra antioxidants and help balance blood sugar and inflammation.
