I GOT TATTED IMPULSIVELY-SWIPE TO SEE (∩╹□╹∩)

so on Saturday my sister and I went to a thrift event downtown! you know I love a good thrift, and there were sooo many cute pieces and items I could’ve spent all day in there.

as we were walking around we came across this sign! tattoos inside…

I had no intention of getting tatted again until my artist opened her bookings, so this was a stroke of luck!

the shop was so adorable inside and had so many little nick nacks I was obsessed.

choosing a tattoo was one of the HARDEST choices I had to make, especially because I had to make it fast as she was closing up for the day.

what drew me to my choice was the fact that I was never afraid of them as a kid, I would collect them and watch them in my grandmother’s garden all the time. I always admired how they would be drawn to the light no matter what.

my choice also represents change and new beginnings. a lot has happened in my life recently, both good and bad. what I have been feeling lately though is that things are changing for the better. I can feel myself only aligning with what will benefit the goals I have in the future and the person I want to be.

this is a new beginning for me because I am only making choices that serve who I want to be, not who I used to be.

this didn’t hurt at all! I’ve gotten tattooed on my forearms and stomach before and I would rank the pain of this a solid 6/10. she only took 15 minutes which absolutely blew my mind.

overall, I don’t regret my decision. this felt right the entire time I was getting it. and even looking at it right now makes me happy, makes me hopeful that even in dark times, much like a moth, I will find the light.

Until next time:)~

... Read moreWhen it comes to impulsive tattoo decisions, there are a few key factors to consider to ensure you’re making the best choice for yourself. First, think about the symbolism behind the tattoo. Many individuals choose tattoos that hold personal meaning, whether it’s a tribute to a loved one, inspiration from nature, or a representation of their journey. Tattoos, like fashion, are also about self-expression and can reflect significant moments in life, such as overcoming challenges or embracing change, much like the personal evolution highlighted in this article. It's also essential to research tattoo artists thoroughly. Finding someone whose style aligns with your vision ensures a satisfactory outcome. Check portfolios, read reviews, and guarantee they follow safety protocols. Remember that tattoos are permanent; take the extra time to make an informed choice. Aftercare is critical too. Following proper aftercare instructions will ensure the tattoo heals well and lasts for years to come, keeping that impulsive decision feeling just as right down the line. The experience of getting a tattoo should be one filled with joy, representing personal growth, change, and optimism. Embrace the journey of self-discovery through tattoos and wear your story with pride!
