4 Days in Milan ✨

... Read moreHaving spent four days exploring Milan myself, I can say it's a city that beautifully blends historic charm and modern vibrancy. The first day steeping in the classic Milanese atmosphere around Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is unforgettable, especially catching the sunset over Piazza della Scala. Don’t miss a relaxed aperitivo session in Brera; it’s a perfect way to soak in local life while enjoying affordable drinks and small bites. Day two shifts gears into Milan's art and fashion soul. Booking tickets in advance for The Last Supper at Santa Maria delle Grazie is essential to avoid long waits. Wandering the Quadrilatero della Moda district is like stepping into a global fashion hub — even window shopping here feels luxurious. I enjoyed discovering the contemporary artworks at Fondazione Prada and the striking Bosco Verticale’s architecture. By the third day, embracing the local lifestyle at Navigli canals was a highlight. The canal-side walk, especially during sunset, offers a serene escape and lively ambiance with bars and street musicians. The aperitivo culture here is vibrant yet budget-friendly if you know where to go, typically between $12-22 per person. For a peaceful retreat, stroll through Parco Sempione and visit the historic Castello Sforzesco with its free courtyards — a great mix of culture and nature. One tip for travelers is to look for cheap flights and hotel deals early on — many websites and apps offer last-minute discounts that helped me keep expenses manageable. Milan is quite walkable, but public transport is also efficient for longer distances, saving both time and money. Overall, Milan is a stylish, walkable city full of surprises. Whether you're an art lover, fashion enthusiast, or just looking to enjoy authentic Italian local life, a four-day itinerary like this one offers the perfect balance of activities, sights, and relaxation.
