Palawan in Rainy Season?

To go or not to go? My answer is, Yes! However, keep in mind:

> Weather is super changeable - you will get heavy rain (like crazy tropical deluge kinda rain) which then very quickly will turn into a hot sunny day without a cloud in the sky. So plan for both 🌧️🌈☀️

> Typhoons and earthquakes do happen & fairly regularly - go knowing it's likely one might occur. They are fairly equipped for them as they happy so frequently. While Palawan doesn't seem to get too affected by earthquakes it does by Typhoons, which happen often across Phillipines at this time of year! 🤷‍♀️

> There's no crowds, cheaper hotel rates, cheaper inter-island airfare travel 💃

> Temperature is still warm even when it's raining - so get wet and still get outside 😁

... Read moreTraveling to Palawan in the rainy season is an adventure that requires some flexibility but offers rewarding experiences. From my personal trips during this period, I've learned that the weather's unpredictability is both a challenge and a delight. Early mornings might greet you with heavy tropical rains that seem relentless, but within a couple of hours, the skies often clear up, revealing bright sunshine and a vibrant landscape washed fresh by the rain. One important aspect to keep in mind is typhoon awareness. Although Palawan is somewhat shielded from the harsher impacts of typhoons compared to other parts of the Philippines, these storms occasionally affect the area. Staying updated on local weather alerts and having contingency plans can ensure your safety and peace of mind during your visit. What I personally enjoyed about traveling in the rainy season is the significantly lowered tourist traffic. This means less crowded beaches, more peaceful island tours, and the chance to connect with the natural beauty of places like Coron without the usual hustle. Hotels and flights offer better deals too, making this a budget-friendly time to explore. Despite the rains, temperatures remain warm year-round in Palawan, so embracing the occasional shower can be refreshing rather than disruptive. Waterproof gear and quick-drying clothes are essential to stay comfortable. I found that spontaneous boat trips and island hopping became even more memorable with the dynamic weather, creating stunning rainbows and dramatic sunsets. Overall, visiting Palawan during the rainy season offers a different perspective, revealing the island's resilience and natural charm. With some preparation and an open mind, you can enjoy a vibrant and affordable tropical getaway.

Rainy season in Boracay? Yes or No?
Absolutely YES! It means cheaper rooms & flights plus not as many people but of course maybe rain. Things to know: 1. Where you stay in Boracay matters. We preferred station Three. Less crowded, more intimate restaurants. Short walk to busy areas but away enough to avoid the noise 2. Loved @V
