From my personal experience, the structure of 30 seconds of intense effort followed by 30 seconds of rest keeps your heart rate elevated while allowing enough recovery to maintain high performance each interval. This balance is key to maximizing fat burn and muscle gain simultaneously. What I found particularly effective with this style is that it demands both cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength, making it a hybrid workout ideal for athletes or anyone looking to boost overall fitness. Additionally, it's scalable — you can modify the intensity by adjusting the pace or adding weights to increase muscle density further. Starting with three rounds is a great baseline, but once you feel comfortable, increasing rounds or adding more challenging exercises can keep the progress consistent. Besides fat loss, this workout helps build muscular endurance and functional strength, which translates well into everyday activities and other sports. Consistency is essential.
