October 🖤 Reads and Reviews

Spooky season, Hispanic heritage month concludes in 11 read books some a little off my beaten path all I enjoy for one reason or another

🖤 1. Quicksilver by: Callie Hart ⭐️ rating 4.75

- I enjoyed the story, spicy level is pretty good.

🖤 2. Wrong Place Wrong Time By: Gillian McAllister ⭐️ 4.50

- Such a compelling story! This is not what I expected but it was very interesting and wow did I love it the end was amazing and you could understand the feelings, it rolled around in my head when I had to put the book down. This will be a high recommendation now!

🖤3. Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow By: Gabrielle Zevin ⭐️ 5.0

- felt like at one point I identified as Sam,

Then at others I identified as Sadie. No matter what all the feelings so raw and real, the aspects of speaking on what women in workplaces deal with and feeling behind that an underlying message. The truth of friends going through phases. My heart breaks in different aspects then feels good in others.

🖤4. The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires By: Grady Hendrix ⭐️ 4.25

- Wow this was not at all what I expected! But damn I could not stop once I started with this story! I also did graphic audio for this book which made some parts very eekkk definitely a great spooky season read!

🖤5. The Girl I Was by: Jeneva Rose ⭐️ 4.0

- Interesting take on taking your life back and taking responsibility for your actions. Definitely different from her normal novels but still appreciate it. I also live for the nod to before social media as it is too!

🖤6. The House on Mango Street by: Sandra Cisneros ⭐️ 4.75

- This embodies a space of cultural

Each short story/ poem capturing a different perspective a different feeling

🖤7. Barbarian Lover (#3 ) By: Ruby Dixon ⭐️ 4.0

- these books give you the smut you are seeking out, easy reads and half decent story line. Can’t ask for more lol

🖤8. Immortal Consequences By: I.V. Marie ⭐️ 4.50

- How complicated the afterlife can be! Interesting take on a game like set of trials deemed for us in the afterlife. It was hard to follow so many characters but grow to like each of them for different reasons. Olivier and Emilio were my absolute favorite!!!

🖤9. Famous Last Words By: Gillian McAllister ⭐️ 4.25

- Wow this is my second book of hers and both have been so good, you never really know what is coming up next. You know in your gut the pieces aren’t fitting right for a reason but just are not seeing all the angles and oh do I love concepts like that!

🖤10. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil By: V.E. Schwab ⭐️ 3.75

- Not the ending I thought I would get, definitely fell right into these ladies world and sank in, I couldn’t not put it down and could not stop thinking about it when I wasn’t immersed.

🖤 11. The Pumpkin Spice Cafe By: Laurie Gilmore ⭐️ 3.25

- This was a cute read, great way to end October reads.
