Why do adults/teachers exaggerate high school???

I know that some things are or might be true like all the teachers will be harsh or you’ll lose all your friends. But tbh, I think it’s a bit much.😬 Like, yes, you might lose a friend or two, and some teachers are js straight up mean, but high school so far is pretty good. And I don’t get why they feel the need to be so dramatic about it lmao😭 like, it’s not that serious(social wise) but academic wise, it is😬👀

But yea, teachers and adults can be weird sometimes😭😭😭
