You don’t owe anybody a comeback montage.
Social media has made it feel like every bad period should result in some dramatic glow-up. Sometimes the win is much less photogenic: you kept working, stayed connected to people, looked after the people who relied on you and eventually started feeling like yourself again. Not everything painful

73 WhatsApp messages from my daughter in one day 😂
Two were selfies. The other 71 were links to things she wants from SHEIN. Her mum has sensibly suggested we just use them as a running Christmas list. My concern is that Christmas is still months away and we’re already at 71 items… Is this just how kids make wish lists now? #Parenting #DadLi

We parent 50/50, split the bigger costs, and generally help each other out without trying to keep a running score. That setup won’t work for every separated family, and it relies on both parents being able to communicate and trust that the other person is contributing fairly. For us, it keeps

Consistency matters more than one “perfect” day.
I get asked how I can eat treats and still stay lean, but the answer is pretty boring: what I do most of the time matters far more than what I do occasionally. I track what I eat, stay active and train consistently. Sometimes I eat more than planned. Sometimes I miss a workout. I don't try t

Helping with the mental load isn't the same as owning it.
If she has to notice the task, remember it needs doing, ask you to do it, explain how it needs doing, and then check afterwards that it actually got done… you haven't really taken it off her plate. You've helped with the physical task. But she's still been responsible for managing it
