‘03 & ‘06 💞

It’s always a little funny when people guess my age and think I’m younger than I am! My sister and I were born in '03 and '06, so there’s a few years between us, but these days, the age gap feels almost non-existent. It’s even funnier when folks think I’m the younger one! We had such a laugh looking back at our old photos, especially that cute vintage one from when we were just little kids, standing against a wall. You could clearly tell the age difference back then, and it was quite distinct between the two young children in the picture. Flipping through those old albums with my sister, it truly brings back a wave of nostalgia. I remember how different we looked growing up – I was probably in my orange top and ripped jeans phase, and she was often in her cool black top. Those mirror selfies we take now in cafes, sometimes even with Valentine's decorations, just don't capture the same innocent energy as our childhood snapshots. But what they do show is how much we’ve grown, and how our bond has only gotten stronger. People often comment on our height difference now, which was also quite noticeable when we were kids. Remember those days when you'd try to measure yourself against the doorframe? We certainly did! But whether it's a few inches or a few years, it's always been 'us against the world.' Sharing those 'then and now' moments, from two young children to two young women, truly highlights how much changes, yet how some things, like sisterly love, remain constant. It’s a beautiful journey to see how we’ve evolved from those little girls in the vintage photo to the confident women we are today, often posing for a mirror selfie, still finding joy in each other's company. Honestly, the 'secret' to looking 'young' isn't really a secret at all for me. It’s more about living joyfully, spending quality time with loved ones like my sister, and just soaking up every moment. There's no magic trick, just a lot of laughter and good memories built over years. Those childhood days, when we were just two young kids exploring the world, laid the foundation for the unbreakable bond we have. It’s amazing how a simple photograph can transport you back in time and remind you of all the adventures you’ve shared with your best friend – your sister. It makes you appreciate how precious those 'as kids' memories truly are, and how they shape who you become, long before any worries about appearances or age differences. Our shared history, from that old photo of us standing together to our current cafe meetups, is what truly defines us.
