Don’t Make These Mistakes When Learning New Tech

1. Don’t try to learn everything at once. So often we want to cram our brains with all of the knowledge and that doesn’t help us learn. Take it slow. Break it up and PRACTICE.

2. Memorizing instead of learning. Most tech: PowerBi, Excel, SQL, Python ect is not going to be learned through memorization. It takes real practice and repetition. Remember not all data is the same and it’s going to take practice to really understand how everything functions.

3. Being afraid of Google. Seriously. Google your problem. Chances are 100 other people have also encountered this issue and have found a solution. There is absolutely no shame in learning from others and in fact in the tech world that’s how 90% of us solve problems. Leaning on each other and the knowledge out there.

4. Waiting until you feel “ready”. Confidence comes after you start, not before. You’re never going to feel ready, just do it. ❤️
