Learning Make Up at 34

Little embarrassed but I am 34 just learning how to do makeup and I also am learning how to lay a wig.

I am a certified brow tech since 2019. I took Sierra from the LHHA brow class in 2019.

I found these collages with some tips and I’m hoping it’ll help.

What helped you when you started out?

Does anyone have any tips for me I have an oily T zone and normal perimeter.

To assist beginners, here are a few essential tips to keep in mind: 1. **Understand Your Skin Type**: As you mentioned having an oily T-zone and normal perimeter, it’s crucial to use products that cater specifically to your skin type. Look for mattifying primers and oil-free foundations that can help balance your skin while providing a flawless finish. 2. **Invest in Quality Tools**: Good makeup brushes and sponges can make a significant difference in application. They help in achieving a blended, natural look. Consider tools for foundation, concealer, contouring, and blush to create well-defined features. 3. **Practice Makes Perfect**: Don’t hesitate to experiment! Try different techniques and products to see what suits you best. Tutorials on platforms like YouTube can be incredibly insightful for visual learners. 4. **Stay Hydrated and Skincare Ready**: Keeping your skin healthy is a foundation for great makeup. Incorporate a good moisturizer suitable for your skin type before you start applying makeup. This ensures a smooth base and helps your makeup last longer. 5. **Seek Community Support**: Reach out to fellow makeup enthusiasts online. There are various communities on social media platforms where beginners share tips, techniques, and personal experiences. 6. **Explore Color Theory**: Understanding which shades complement your skin tone can enhance your overall look. For dark skin, consider shades that will highlight rather than wash you out. Look for content creators who share dupes and affordable finds that suit your specific needs. Embarking on your makeup journey in your 30s is all about learning and enjoying the process. Embrace your unique beauty and have fun experimenting with different looks!
