Day 1 of cut

Started my morning with my favourite protein muffins and a kopi-C kosong because Monday blues...

Made a conscious effort to slow down and actually enjoy my meals today instead of rushing through them, and also managed to hit my protein goal.

No strength training since it’s my rest day, but I still pushed through an hour on the StairMaster and wow, it was really quite a workout.

Overall, a solid start to my cut. Routine is a practice field that trains us everyday so it's important that we stick to it no matter what 🤍

Incorporating nutrient-dense snacks like banana protein yogurt cereal and even occasional treats like black sesame ninja creami helps keep cravings at bay while staying on track. Mindful eating played a crucial role for me. I made a conscious effort to slow down and savor each bite rather than rushing, which not only improved digestion but also allowed me to better recognize fullness cues, preventing overeating. This approach made hitting my protein goals more manageable and enjoyable. Even on rest days without strength training, I include cardio sessions such as an hour on the StairMaster, which surprisingly turned out to be quite a workout. It boosts calorie burn and maintains cardiovascular health without overtaxing muscles, supporting fat loss while allowing recovery. Meal planning with variety—like sweet potato honey garlic chicken breast paired with baked cauliflower—keeps the diet interesting and nutritious. Staying hydrated with drinks like Capri-Sun Zero and kopi-C kosong provides refreshing alternatives without added sugars. Overall, establishing a consistent routine that balances mindful eating, diverse protein sources, and active rest days builds sustainable habits. If you’re starting a cut, focus on these elements and remember that routine is a form of daily training that, when maintained, will help you reach your weight loss and fitness goals effectively.

What I eat in a day on a cut (1350 cal)
Disclaimer: I’m 170cm and you should not be eating so little normally if you’re around my height and build - I’m only eating so little since I’m on the last lap of my cut. But that aside, I’m on the last week of my cut and it’s getting tough, but all these food I’m making for myself is helping.
