Hit a plateau on GLP-1?

6 days agoEdited to

... Read moreHitting a plateau while using GLP-1 medications like Ozempic can be frustrating, but it’s a common experience that many people face on their health journey. From my own experience and discussions with others in the GLP community, it’s important first to confirm whether the plateau is real by looking at the overall trend over several weeks rather than daily fluctuations. Once confirmed, a good starting point is to review your dosage in consultation with your healthcare provider. Sometimes, small tweaks can make a significant difference. Beyond medication, paying close attention to your diet and exercise routine is crucial. Prioritizing protein intake supports fullness and helps maintain lean muscle mass, which can be key in continuing progress. Adding resistance training has been a game changer for me personally, as it helps preserve muscle strength and counters any metabolic slowdowns caused by weight loss. Tracking your progress beyond just the scale also adds valuable insight. Monitoring blood sugar levels and habits like sleep and stress can reveal hidden blockers that might be affecting your results. Medications other than GLP-1s, stress, and poor sleep quality can all undermine weight loss or glucose control. Above all, communicate openly with your prescribing clinician before making any changes to your medication regimen. Improvising with doses or stopping treatment abruptly can be counterproductive and unsafe. Remember, a plateau doesn’t mean failure—it’s a signal that your body has adapted and your plan may need refreshing. Treat it as a chance to reassess and optimize your routine, aiming for sustainable and long-term health improvements.

Still stuck on the scale no matter how “healthy” you eat or how hard you work out? 😩 That’s the problem no one talks about—your body is resisting fat loss because your hormones are out of balance. 👉 The real issue? Low GLP-1. It’s the hormone that tells your body to stop eating, burn fat,
