My last four movies on Letterboxd

My immediate thought after watching was, "It be like that sometimes," which is a pretty understated way to describe such an intense, unsettling experience. Yorgos Lanthimos always delivers something unique, and this psychological thriller is no exception. It's not an easy watch, but it makes you think and stays with you long after the credits roll. If you're into films that challenge you and aren't afraid to be deeply uncomfortable, this is one to add to your watchlist. It's often a topic of intense movie discussion for good reason! Finally, I checked out Trap (2024). My quick review was just "Oh America," which probably tells you a little about the twisty, M. Night Shyamalan-esque vibe of the film. It was certainly a departure from what I expected, and while I rated it 3.5 stars, it kept me guessing. It's always intriguing to see how new thrillers try to innovate and capture that suspenseful magic.
