I wish someone had told me this sooner.

Not, “Everything happens for a reason.”

Not, “Just stay positive.”

Not even, “It gets better.”

Because honestly…

When you’re in the middle of heartbreak, grief, anxiety, or rebuilding your life, those words can feel impossible to believe.

What helped me more was this:

I didn’t have to know how it was going to get better.

I just had to keep moving long enough to find out.

And somehow…

Life kept surprising me.

A healthier relationship.

Children I never imagined I’d have.

Peace I thought belonged to other people.

A version of myself I hadn’t met yet.

If today feels heavy, don’t pressure yourself to see the whole path.

Just take the next step.

Sometimes that’s enough.

If you’re rebuilding after everything feels like it fell apart, the Emotional Reset Workbook is there to help you find your way.

But first, start with the Deep Anxiety Prompts. They help you get settled as the real work begins.

Comment CALM and I’ll deliver them to your inbox.

... Read moreFrom personal experience, I've found that the hardest part of healing from heartbreak and anxiety isn’t just the emotional pain but the overwhelming uncertainty about what’s next. The idea that you must have a clear vision of how things will improve can be paralyzing. What helped me was embracing the idea that I didn’t need all the answers immediately—I just needed to keep moving forward, however slowly. One practical approach I adopted was journaling prompts focused on my deepest anxieties and feelings. Writing down what I feared and what I hoped for helped calm my restless mind and gave me a sense of direction without pressure. This kind of self-guided emotional reset was invaluable in moments when life felt too heavy. It created space for small victories, like recognizing a healthier relationship dynamic or glimpsing a future I hadn’t previously imagined. It’s important to remember that healing is rarely linear. Some days are harder, and that’s okay. Instead of forcing myself to understand the full journey at once, I focused on the immediate next step—whether that was reaching out for support, practicing self-compassion, or simply breathing through the anxiety. Over time, those steps added up, revealing a new version of myself that I’m proud to know. If you’re navigating a similar path, remember you’re not alone. Allow yourself the grace to be uncertain and the courage to take the next small step. Tools like deep anxiety prompts or emotional reset workbooks can provide gentle guidance on this journey. Sometimes, just moving forward, without knowing the full outcome, is the greatest act of healing you can give yourself.

A woman poses next to text asking, "DID YOU KNOW? Experian, Equifax & TransUnion Are NOT The MAJOR Credit Bureaus?!" challenging common credit repair assumptions.
An infographic details primary credit bureaus (ChexSystems, Innovis, LexisNexis) and secondary bureaus (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion), advising to start with primary for stronger credit repair results.
I Wish Someone Had Told Me This BEFORE I Started Repairing My Credit 🤯
Important tip! FREEZE your LexisNexis and Innovis profiles while disputing and fixing your credit. ONLY freeze your ChexSystems profile if you are NOT opening new accounts. These will have to be unfreezed before you open new credit or loan accounts. Freezing gives only YOU access to your profiles.
