I’m down 20 pounds and I still get to feast like t

2025/7/3 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! Seeing my original post about being '20 pounds down and just getting started' resonated with so many of you, and I'm so excited to share more of my journey. Losing weight doesn't mean sacrificing all the foods you love – I can happily say that I'm down 20 pounds and I still get to feast like this on my favorite dishes! It's all about finding a sustainable balance, not extreme deprivation. Many of you asked about a 'workout plan to lose 20 pounds in a month'. While rapid weight loss can be appealing, I really focused on a healthy, consistent pace. For most people, losing 1-2 pounds per week is a more sustainable and healthy goal, meaning shedding 20 pounds might take a bit longer than a month, but the results are lasting! My approach was all about building habits I could stick with long-term. Here's a peek into my personal workout routine that helped me shed those 20 pounds: My Sustainable Workout Plan: I aimed for 4-5 days of activity each week, mixing cardio and strength training. Strength Training (3 days/week): I started with bodyweight exercises at home, then gradually incorporated resistance bands and light dumbbells. My go-to's included squats, lunges, push-ups (on my knees initially!), planks, and glute bridges. I focused on compound movements to work multiple muscle groups. Consistency was key here – even 20-30 minutes made a huge difference. Cardio (2-3 days/week): I love walking, so I made sure to get at least 30-45 minutes of brisk walking or light jogging. On days I felt more energetic, I'd try a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session, like alternating sprints with walking, which really helped boost my metabolism. Sometimes, I'd even put on my favorite music and just dance around the living room! It's all about moving your body in a way you enjoy. Feasting Smart, Not Depriving: This is where the "still get to feast like this" part comes in! I didn't cut out entire food groups. Instead, I focused on: Portion Control: I learned to listen to my body's hunger cues and stop when I was satisfied, not stuffed. Balanced Meals: Filling my plate with plenty of vegetables, lean protein, and complex carbohydrates helped me feel full and energized. Strategic Treats: If I wanted a piece of chocolate or a small dessert, I'd have it! But I'd savor it and make sure it fit into my overall calorie goals for the day. This prevented me from feeling deprived and then overeating later. Hydration: Drinking lots of water throughout the day kept me feeling full and energized. Remember, this journey is truly about 'Progress Not Perfection'. There were days I missed a workout or indulged a little too much, but I never let it derail my entire progress. I just got back on track the next day. Becoming 'Stronger Every Day' isn't just physical; it's about building mental resilience too. This isn't a sprint; it's a marathon towards becoming your happiest, healthiest self. You've got this!

70 pounds later, I’m still learning to see her.
I haven’t really talked about this part on here. Not because it doesn’t matter. Maybe because I was still learning how to see myself again. 70 pounds later, I still catch my reflection and have to pause for a second. Not because my worth changed. But because somewhere along the way,
