Always Better to be Safe!!!

I remember going through the registry list when I was preparing for my baby shower. I added this head support and strap cover set because it looked like it would add comfort for my daughter during car rides.

After doing some research, I quickly learned the simple warning about this product and felt like it was an important piece of advice to share.

Aftermarket car seat accessories are not regulated, and are not tested for safety. There is no way of knowing how these products will perform with your child’s car seat.

Although this product may appear to add comfort for your child, you are putting their safety at risk. It’s better off to leave this one off your registry!!

... Read moreWhen preparing for a baby shower registry, many parents want to ensure they are getting the best products for their little ones. However, it’s crucial to consider the safety implications of aftermarket car seat accessories. Although items like head support and strap cover sets may seem to enhance comfort, they often lack safety regulation and proper testing. This lack of oversight means there is no guarantee these accessories will perform safely with a child’s car seat. Many parents may be surprised to learn that using such accessories can put their child's safety at risk. The soft strap covers or cushioned inserts can interfere with how a car seat is designed to protect a child during a collision. Consequently, experts advise leaving these items off your registry to ensure your child's safety remains a priority. Additionally, it’s wise to familiarize yourself with the essential safety features of car seats and to choose certified products that comply with recognized safety standards. Always opt for items that enhance safety rather than comfort, ensuring that your little one is secure during car rides.

We didn’t ask for one of these but received one. We used it in her bassinet stroller while she was really little for head support on walks and on outings. Kept her head from rolling around.

I used this, my babies head was super small and this helped keep her head supported and also aligned with her neck instead of her head flopping to the side.
