my wedding dinner timeline

Hello zesties!!

Wedding planning also includes drafting your timeline as it is the backbone of everything when engaging your vendors so they have an rough idea of your needs!

my wedding programme flow is in line with auspicious hours for me & my bf charts hence because of this we had to ROM before 5pm and conclue tea ceremony before 630 reception. This reason gave us quite a headache becoz we can't flow the tea ceremony to ROM & banquet timing.

Having that, it is important to ensure the venue can cater to flexibility if you are doing same day ROM like mine!! we tried to keep each activity as close to each other while having time and space to breath & change outfits too!

... Read moreWhen planning a wedding with multiple ceremonies like ROM and tea ceremonies, especially on the same day, flexibility with the venue and vendors is key. From my experience, I found it helpful to create a detailed schedule that included buffer times between activities to avoid rushing and to handle unexpected delays. It’s also important to communicate clearly with all involved parties about the timeline constraints, such as auspicious timing, so everyone knows what to expect. For example, because our ROM had to be completed before 5pm, we made sure to schedule the tea ceremonies right after, ending the tea ceremony by 6:30pm in time for the cocktail reception at 6:30pm. This required careful coordination but ensured the entire day flowed harmoniously. Another tip is to factor in time for outfit changes and brief rest periods. Wedding days can be long and demanding, so having a few minutes to breathe and prepare before each event can make all the difference. Our timeline also included a post-ceremony photo session and a well-paced dinner schedule with cake cutting and table photos to capture memories. If you’re planning a similar wedding day timeline, consider your cultural or personal timing preferences early on and discuss them with your venue to confirm their ability to accommodate your schedule. This proactive approach helped me avoid many potential headaches and ensured a memorable day that felt well-organized and stress-free.
