Our Wedding Day Timeline ✨

Sharing my wedding day timeline because I know how overwhelming planning can feel 🤍

My morning started very early with my MUA arriving at 3am (family traditions!), gatecrash, tea ceremony, and checked into my hotel by 12pm for a quick rest before evening prep. We were also lucky to be able to squeeze in a bridal party photoshoot 🤭

My MUA arrived at 1.30pm to work on my second look. Hair and makeup for both mums also happened around 3pm. We then arrived at our ROM & Dinner venue at around 5pm. This gave us some time to do a mini photoshoot at our venue and also did a private vow reading with each other 🤍

Our ROM happened at 6.15pm and dinner commenced at 7.30pm. As our venue closes at 1030pm, we had only three hours for the dinner. We initially had many programmes lined up (games, mingle and social dance) but had to do away with them for a more enjoyable evening.

Throughout the evening, delays were inevitable which also made the night feel rushed. A big shoutout to my emcee who guided us through the chaos and gave us options instead of a hard rule. She understood what matters to us and made our guests feel at home. She ended up being my cousin’s wedding emcee too as they were so happy with the way she hosted our wedding 🥰 Highly recommended!

If I could redo one thing, I would love to start our ROM earlier. However, we also understood the commitments our solemniser had and wouldn’t have asked for another solemniser! She’s really patient, helpful and vibes really well with us. Our ROM ceremony was heartwarming, teary and filled with laughter. After the ceremony, many of my guests reached out to say how impress they were with her! ⭐ Also highly recommended!

Every wedding flows differently, so take my timeline as a guide, not a template. Most importantly, this wedding is for you as a couple. What matters is that you and your partner take time to enjoy every moment to celebrate yourselves because the day will pass too quickly. It is YOUR day, so make it yours 🩷

Let me know if you have any questions for me 😊

... Read morePlanning a wedding timeline can feel overwhelming, especially when balancing early morning traditions with evening events. From my own experience, starting early with hair and makeup is essential to ensure everyone is ready on time without rushing. For a 4pm or later ceremony, consider scheduling private moments like a vow reading or photoshoot to add intimacy to your day. Embracing flexibility during the ceremony is key, as unexpected delays happen. Our emcee was amazing in guiding us through adjustments, which helped keep guests engaged and the mood celebratory. If you’re thinking about the role of the best man, preparing a checklist of responsibilities such as speeches and coordinating games can ease stress. Since our dinner venue closed by 10:30pm, we streamlined the evening program to focus on meaningful parts like speeches, the first dance, and a toast. This made the night feel full and joyous instead of rushed. Remember, every wedding schedule should reflect the unique personalities of the couple. Don’t hesitate to adjust timelines to accommodate your solemniser’s availability or venue rules, as these small details contribute greatly to the flow. Finally, taking moments throughout the day to soak in the joy with your partner can make even a packed schedule feel personal and memorable. My tip is to use a timeline as a helpful guide but prioritize your happiness and connection above all.
