Creamy Fruit Salad
Lately l've been into simple, refreshing snacks. So I made something light and easy today!
I cut up watermelon, pineapple, and dragon fruit into little squares, mixed it with vanilla Greek yogurt, sprinkled shredded coconut on top, then chilled it in the fridge for a couple hours.
It was so refreshing, and it's honestly the perfect at home snack!
I recently tried making this creamy fruit salad, and I found it not only delicious but also incredibly simple to prepare. Using fresh, juicy fruits like watermelon, pineapple, and dragon fruit provides natural sweetness and vibrant colors that make the dish visually appealing. To enhance the creaminess without added sugar, I mixed the fruit cubes with vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt, which brought a rich, tangy taste and boosted the protein content. Sprinkling shredded coconut on top gave it a lovely texture contrast and a hint of tropical flavor. One tip I learned is to refrigerate the salad for a couple of hours before serving. This chilling step lets the flavors meld together and keeps the fruit refreshing, especially on warm days. Plus, the cold temperature makes it an ideal snack to cool down and stay hydrated. For variations, you can try adding other fruits like mango or berries, or substitute shredded coconut with chopped nuts for extra crunch. This recipe is flexible and can suit different dietary needs, including being gluten-free and vegetarian. Overall, this creamy fruit salad is a perfect at-home treat for anyone looking for a healthy, easy-to-make snack that’s both satisfying and refreshing.
