Newborn

One thing I think all moms miss the most? Those precious newborn feels—their sweet smell, those adorable booty bunches when you pick them up, and those irresistible yawns and stretches. I never want to forget these moments, so here’s how I cherish them:

1. Take all the pictures—no one else will! Prop that phone up, set a timer, and capture it all.

2. Be intentional with your time, especially if you have other kids.

3. Don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for holding your baby. They can, respectfully, have their own (this should be #1!).

4. Ignore the noise—spend time with your baby however you want, even if it’s just cuddling all day. These moments are yours to savor—you won’t get them back.

Any other moms feel the same way? How do you hold onto those newborn moments?

... Read moreWelcoming a newborn into the family brings a unique blend of joy and challenges. Parents often recount the fleeting nature of these early days filled with sweet smells, soft skin, and tender moments. This period, though filled with exhaustion, is also a time of bonding and learning. Newborn season is about embracing the chaos while creating lasting memories. It’s crucial to engage in practices that preserve these moments for years to come—for example, establishing a routine for capturing daily photos or journaling experiences. Many parents find comfort in connecting with fellow moms, sharing advice, and discussing their feelings about balancing family life and caring for a newborn. Community support plays a significant role in navigating this journey, offering ways to celebrate small victories and seek guidance. Remember, these precious times may often feel overwhelming, but they are also incredibly rewarding. Every smile, yawn, and tiny kick is worth cherishing. In addition to prioritizing time with your baby, consider setting up milestone reminders or memory books to reflect on your baby's growth. Many families choose to document their journey through social media or personal blogs, sharing their experiences and tips with a broader audience. This not only creates a sense of support but also allows you to look back and see how far you've come as a parent. Harnessing technology, such as baby tracking apps, can help you stay organized while also recording important milestones. Remember to take it one day at a time, focus on what matters most, and enjoy the journey of motherhood during this beautiful newborn season.
