Looking back at my paintings from 8 years ago versus my current work, it’s incredible to see the growth both technically and emotionally. Early on, my artwork mostly focused on replicating what I saw, with limited confidence in color usage and brush control. Over time, through continual practice and experimentation, I’ve found a unique style that reflects not just my skills but also my personal experiences and creativity. One of the biggest changes I noticed is how I approach composition now—I consider storytelling and emotional impact far more deeply than before. I’ve also embraced mixed media and different painting techniques, which has expanded my artistic vocabulary. It feels rewarding to revisit old pieces and see not only technical improvements but also the evolution of my artistic voice. For artists or anyone pursuing a craft, my journey highlights the importance of patience and self-exploration. Improvement isn’t just about mastering techniques but also about learning your own style and what makes your work meaningful. Sharing these then-and-now comparisons motivates me and my viewers to appreciate progress beyond the final artwork, encouraging continuous learning and creative risks.

From Painted Tile to Real Tile — Never Again 😅

I originally painted and stenciled this bathroom tile years ago as a quick DIY fix… but it was finally time for a real upgrade!
