Blameshifting through their projection

Sometimes the one who looks unstable is simply the one being emotionally abused and finally reacting to it. They’ve spent months, years, or even decades carrying the weight of someone else’s cruelty, manipulation, and gaslighting, quietly enduring what no one should ever have to endure. Every word twisted against them, every boundary ignored, every act of dismissal chips away at their sense of safety, leaving them on edge, anxious, and emotionally drained.

When they finally react—whether through tears, anger, or visible frustration—it isn’t a sign of weakness or irrationality. It’s the body and mind speaking a truth that has been suppressed for far too long. Their emotions are not random; they are the echoes of hurt that has been ignored, the natural response of a human being pushed to their limits.

What looks chaotic from the outside is actually the raw, unfiltered truth of someone reclaiming themselves, setting boundaries, and refusing to silently endure abuse any longer. It’s a painful, messy, and imperfect process—but it’s also a brave and necessary one. This “instability” is often the first step toward freedom, healing, and finally being seen for who they truly are.

so true. it took me 16 years to leave & now I'm witnessing my son go through this. It's so sad. When I do randomly run into him (cause she won't let him communicate with his family.) He normally has a few of the kids with him and they always tell me how she manipulates & threatens them if he wants to come visit us. The oldest always says he will be 16 soon and he will come visit. I saw 4 of my grandkids about a month ago at a Walmart parking lot just randomly ran into them, and the kids were stuck to me. I stopped giving her a reaction. I tell my son not to argue with her over seeing me as the kids have to witness the argument 😭😭😭She has to be the worst narcissistic person I've ever met. She uses, manipulates & threatens them all the time 😭😭😭😭

Blameshifting their projection
When someone tells others you’re the liar, it’s not because you made something up, it’s because the evidence points straight at them. They flip the story to avoid accountability. The moment you stop defending yourself and start trusting your truth, their power collapses.

Avoiding toxic behavior
