monthly bills 💵 as a 23y/o nurse ✨

there are some big bills here — and some that are missing. let’s talk about it 🫣🫧

my “fixed” expenses are bills that NEVER change. these are things i can always count on coming out of my account. (for the sake of simplicity, i just rounded to nearest $)

my “variable” expenses are bills that it really just depends on what i’m buying / frequencies of those purchases.

i do live with my boyfriend, he pays for our home bills. and the hospital i work at offers employer paid insurance — i’ve really lucked out 💞.

what bills do you have?🤓

... Read moreIn today's world, managing finances is crucial, especially for young professionals. For a 23-year-old nurse, navigating monthly bills can be challenging yet insightful. Fixed expenses like car loans, insurance, and subscriptions provide a clear picture of financial obligations. Understanding variable expenses like groceries, gas, and personal care helps in budgeting effectively. The ability to differentiate between these types of expenses enables one to track spending and identify areas to save. Many young adults face rising costs, thus budgeting becomes essential in promoting financial stability and freedom. Tools such as budgeting apps and spreadsheets can help monitor spending habits and forecast future expenses. Moreover, having conversations about finances can alleviate anxiety as many are in similar situations. Discussing financial goals with partners, friends, or colleagues can inspire accountability and shared support. Such collaboration can lead to proactive spending and saving habits which are fundamental for achieving financial independence. As a nurse operating on a fixed income or with varying shifts, managing finances can feel overwhelming at times; however, prioritization and awareness are key. Besides salary considerations, additional perks such as employer-paid insurance can significantly ease financial burdens. Sharing tips and experiences in financial circles can empower others to develop sustainable spending habits while pursuing career goals.
