POSTPARTUM CARE ESSENTIALS

I am 39weeks and 2 days pregnant! These are all the products I used for my first birth and will use this time around again! I like to keep it simple sometimes less is more!

1. Always discreet

These are so much more convenient than the mesh panties they provide at the hospital! These are so comfy and soft!

2. Long pads to keep everything secure and for extra protection! Especially for hemorrhoid that 🩸 flow can be really heavy and these come in handy as an extra protection on top of the always discreet underwear!

3. Fridamom peri bottle, definitely highly recommended way better than that cheap “ketchup” looking like bottle they give you at the hospital!

4. Tucks, are given to you at the hospital definitely recommend buying more because these are so cooling and soothing down there!

5. Dermoplast spray really helped give me that numbing effect down there making everything feel so comfy!

6. Fridamom cooling foam, this is also so so soothing down there if you have that burning/ itch sensation. This willl definitely help sooth any discomfort.

7. Hand sanitizer is optional but it makes me feel extra clean when I finished washing my hands and leaving the restroom.

8. Poo spray highly recommend this because they will be lots of odors while trying to recover down there 🐱 it made me leave the restroom more confident knowing I didn’t leave it smelling bad so my husband can use the restroom next or to shower!

... Read moreNavigating postpartum recovery can be challenging, but having the right products at your disposal can make all the difference. After childbirth, the body goes through significant changes, making comfort and care crucial during this time. The FridaMom Peri Bottle stands out as a top choice for new mothers, providing a gentler, more effective way to clean postpartum areas compared to traditional hospital-issued bottles. Cooling pads, like Tucks Medicated Cooling Pads, offer relief from discomfort and promote healing with their soothing properties. Additionally, using a numbing spray such as Dermoplast can make recovery much more comfortable. This pain-relieving product is specifically designed to ease soreness and irritation in sensitive areas. Extra comfort can also be found with FridaMom Cooling Foam, which alleviates burning sensations and provides much-needed relief. For personal hygiene, having a reliable hand sanitizer nearby is a great way to maintain cleanliness after visits to the restroom. Products like Poo-Pourri can also help manage odors, allowing you to feel more confident in shared bathrooms during recovery. Incorporating these essential items into your postpartum care routine not only supports physical comfort but also contributes to emotional well-being, helping new mothers navigate the early days of motherhood with confidence.

When you wear the always discreets, do you wear a pad too, or are pads just for when you’re wearing regular underwear?

I was gifted the Frida mom kit, but I used the boy shorts out of them, the perineal foam, and the peri bottle. The ice packs were recommended by my nurse to only use for 24 hours, and I only used the tucks for 24/48 hours. Once I reached two days postpartum, maybe three I was down to only needing t
