Nobody Talks About This Part of Healing

People think healing is loud…

but sometimes it looks like this.

Sitting in silence.

Choosing yourself.

Letting go of who you had to be…

to become who you really are.

You’re not behind.

You’re not missing anything.

You’re just returning to yourself.

If this spoke to you… stay here. 🤍

... Read moreHealing isn’t always a dramatic or noisy process; oftentimes, the most powerful transformations happen in the quiet moments we spend alone with ourselves. From my own experience, sitting in silence has been an incredible way to reconnect and recharge. It’s not about rushing through healing or trying to fix yourself immediately; it’s about accepting where you are, allowing yourself to simply be. In those moments of solitude, I’ve learned to appreciate my own presence without distraction. Turning off the phone, avoiding constant stimulation, and allowing my mind to slow down has created space for clarity to emerge naturally. Lighting candles, playing soft music, or even preparing a meal with care became small rituals that remind me I’m worthy of kindness and softness—even when I am on my own. This quiet time has helped me let go of the masks I wore to please others and embrace who I truly am underneath. It reminded me that healing is not linear and that I am not behind or missing out. Instead, I am realigning with my true self, which is the foundation of lasting inner peace. If you’re on a similar path, I encourage you to cherish these solo moments as opportunities to rebuild your energy and strengthen your relationship with yourself. Solitude is not emptiness; it’s a season of becoming, a time to slow down, soften, and reset your soul. Over time, these small daily practices create a profound sense of safety within your own presence, empowering you to face life refreshed and whole.

A handwritten list titled '9 Stages Of Healing' by Jessica Irene, detailing nine steps: Denial, Shock, Recognition, Acceptance, Release, Reflection, Emptiness, Integration, and Transformation, each with a brief explanation of the healing process.

Nobody talks enough about what survival mode does to your mind. You get so used to being strong that you forget you’re allowed to want more than just getting by. As a mom, I realized I didn’t just want to survive. I wanted peace. I wanted options. I wanted a future that didn’t depend on

People talk about ADHD and losing keys. ADHD and unfinished laundry. ADHD and being late. But almost nobody talks about what it can do to intimacy. For me, once the newness wears off, it can be hard to find a groove. I can go a long time, and not want it. Then comes the guilt. For years I thought I

The Part of Love Nobody Talks About‼️
When I was a teenager I was sitting next to my grandma on her porch, watching the sun melt into the horizon like it always did in the summer. I had just told her about a boy I liked, how he made my heart race and how I couldn’t stop thinking about him. She smiled, that knowing kind of smile, and

The part of trauma nobody talks about.
Ignoring red flags doesn’t just hurt your heart. It can rewire your brain. When you stay in something that isn’t safe, your nervous system stays in survival mode. And when you’re just trying to get through each day, your brain stops recording. Conversations disappear. Whole periods go blurry.
