In Italy, the presepe isn’t complete until midnight on Christmas Eve 🤍

That’s why, if you look closely at nativity scenes before Christmas, Baby Jesus is missing.

He’s only placed in the presepe at midnight - traditionally by the youngest member of the family - marking the official beginning of Christmas Day.

This is a traditional Neapolitan presepe, full of everyday life details… even a pizza oven!
