Recently, I went through a miscarriage a couple of months ago. I decided not to attend certain family functions because I'm still very emotional around newborns, especially since November would have been my due date month. However, I've been called selfish, childish for not trying to being happy for others happiness. I have my own emotions, and I'm allowed to be “selfish, emotional, and stubborn”, so I refuse to go against my heart when it comes to emotions and grieving. Everyone is different. Note: I am happy and excited for those in my family or close friends who are able to have their babies and are on their pregnancy journey. I am just trying to heal my heart; this is nothing personal to those who are able to have a healthy pregnancy, etc. I just have to protect myself from a heavy broken heart as I don’t know if I’ll ever have kids.
